When you’re asked about how your day was and you had a bad one but the person who is asking had an objectively worse day than you did.
Firefighter: we lost every child to the fire at the orphanage. Anyway, how was your day?
Me, working at a party service: We ran out of balloons and the customer got really angry.
It was a bit of a hard day at the ice cream factory.

A word to skirt around 2 very different slurs, one being racist that every other definition in UD will explain, & the other being "Retard," because it starts with an R & "Tard" is also a slur.
There has been no study on the divide between the use; Generational, regional, financial, or racial, outside of the fact that the use for r3t@rd is very common outside of the USA but still used in the states. Both groups up until 2023 seem to have been completely unaware of the alternative use for the term, due to cultural or social differences & a lack of communication between cliques.

Someone who is investing all of their strength into any action no matter the consequences. Comes from "Going Hard"
This person would often go above and beyond to accomplish a task that wouldn't normally be worth the time or effort they are exerting.
Can be used to describe a try-hard or sweat.

"I spent 7 hours designing the outfit for my D&D character"
"You're being a hard, don't you have an essay due?"
-
"I was grinding last night on your and my account so we can get to the lvl 50 dungeon"
"You would be a hard you sweat"
