The laptop pause is when you are going to turn on your laptop in a public place and hesitate to remember whether you left anything embarrassing open last night.

I had to buy a second computer for work only so I wouldn't have to do the laptop pause.

Pregnant Pause

When you say something and are interrupted by going into labor.

"Hey hubby, do you want milk- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *baby crying* ."

(this is a very good example of a pregnant pause)
