Excusal

When some on says you are excused. This word origionated in Ms. Hutsell's 8th grrade core class, and is now used in everyday conversation.

"I will wait for you to get all packed up beofre I give you the excusal."

In recent years, this has become a popular cover story for ignoring someone's phone calls and/or text messages. Your phone's battery died and the charger was at home, or you could not find the charger.

Shortly after Bill arrived at the lake, his boss texted him and asked if he could work on his day off. He decided to use the charger excuse.

The Eve excuse

The eve excuse is when someone is discussing a topic and says they hate a certain part of it, so to defend themselves they say they hate the entire topic as well.

excuser:i hate men
person:why do you hate them all?
excuser:i just hate all people in general lol(this is the eve excuse)

The act of using confusion as an excuse to not perform work.

Often used on backshift in Naval shipyards

"Hey, did Bob get that job done last night?"
"No, he was confused by step 1.0 in the procedure so he didn't get started."
