That nerd is very awkward around girls and can't kick a soccer ball, but he has all the atomic masses of noble gases memorized to the thousandth's place.

A kid in the school band who is a try hard. They're always in the band room, where it is their second home. He/she is always first chair in the state band and tends to be the Teacher's pet.

Kid: Oh yeah did you hear? Julian, Steven, Jiayao, Luisa got first chair again

Kid 2: Oh what a surprise. THEY DO THIS EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. What a band nerd they are.
