A symbolic phrase and hand gesture used to indicate uncertainty or fluidity regarding sexual orientation.

The number 6, drawn with curves, represents any sexual orientation outside of heterosexuality. The number 7, straight and pointed at its base, represents heterosexuality. When someone makes the “6–7” hand motion (hands moving up and down like “maybe” or “I don’t know”), it signifies being unsure, questioning, or acknowledging the spectrum between LGBTQ+ and straight.
