When to people are dating and the male doesn't make very many flirty moves during the date (ie: holding hands, excessive compliments) because he is unaware of the females intentions. It's like dating but in a nonserious way. It's a terrible limbo, stuck between the dating and friend zone. People stuck here are trapped and have no clear guidance on how to act around the female, everyday they hope for the sweet release of "oh i just like you as a friend" or "lets make this more serious." But it never comes.....
Male: I like you. It's cool we've been going out so much.
Female: I didn't know that. I thought we were Friend Dating. You never flirt with me.
Male: I just tried to kiss you and told you I liked you... are you serious?

The state of being denied relationship status because the other considers you a "Friend they don't want to lose". This more commonly affects men, as women get too into the friendship to consider the other in a sexual or romantic way. Men are more likely to stick it out and try and get into her pants and/or heart. Most women do it unconsciously, they like the person so much they don't want risk losing the friendship. They would also say they don't want to lose the friend as an attempt to soften the rejection.
James: "Hey I really like you, so do you want to go see a movie or something."
Mary: "I would really like that, except you're such a good friend that I can't think of you like that."
James: 'Inside of his head' "Damn, not the friend zone."

Basically where a man ends up when a girl finds out that she can make him his "boy friend" without having sex or other equally gratifying contact with him. It's an especially bad place for the guy, because it means that he's in for relentless crying and bitching and suffering when she's in-between boyfriends. In other words, you're the first person she goes to when she needs a cry and a bitch, but the last person she'd actually date or have sex with. If she asks you how to get a man, knowing you like her, then just shoot yourself right then, or move on.
Brody: So, what did she say?
Kyle: She said that "You're too good a friend for me to date you..." then later asked "Why can't I get a guy?"
Brody: Dude, you're in the friend zone. Look up urbandictionary.com and askmen.com so that this emotional castration doesn't happen to you again! XD

Noun. Name given to the friend of an emotionally delicate individual for their own emotional security brought on by abandonment. This perception of close friendship is merely a projection of their desires for close platonic companionship in the void of actual loved ones. "Life Friends" commonly will receive daily hugs from this individual and, traditionally, are the supplier of both alcohol and tobacco products, as chemicals are another stabilizing force in this tender individual's life.
Said in drunken stuper: "Even though I cry everyday, I'm glad to have you guys around. You guys are my life friends!"
Said in a semi-drunken stuper: "The three of us came together as life friends and formed this house of love."
Said in stone cold sobriety: "Even though we have this last cigarette, we shall smoke it together; as life friends."

two friends that have such a deeply bonded friendship they seem meant to be.
they share thoughts, ideas, and usually have psychic abilities between each other. they tend to be able to finish one another's thoughts or sentences.
soul friends don't fight and tend to have simliar body parts.
They never miss each other's birthdays...no matter what.
they also sometimes may sound alike.

I think Christine and Drea share a brain because they are always coming up with the same ideas. I think they must be soul friends.

A best friend is one of the loves of your life, without them you are lost, when you lose one you are completely and utterly heartbroken.
A best friend loves you the most. A best friend cries with you when you get hurt. A best friend cuddles you when they know you need to be comforted. A best friend doesn’t have to ask what is wrong, they already know. A best friend holds your hand when you have to take a leap. A best friend isn't embarrassed by the things you do. A best friend tells the whole world how special you are. A best friend is all you really need!
