People who live in an apt complex who never work and are useless, destroy the property values of the place, are the reason the police are called habitually, obnoxiously loud, and hard to remove.
God damn yard crabs! Cannot have a peaceful cookout in the courtyard without an outdoor screamfest and a 9-1-1 call at least 5 times a day.

A neighborhood in Manhattan, New York. While previously known for its shipping docks and industrial nature, it has been built up and gentrified with tall all-glass luxury buildings within the last 10-15 years.
Many of these buildings have lots of nice amenities such as a washer and dryer in all units, dishwashers, fancy appliances, city views, gyms, pools, parking, and much more depending on the building. Lots of new young professionals live here and drop more of their paycheck than they should on fancy studio or one-bedroom apartments. Essentially the McMansion version of apartments. Super nice, but soulless and without any real history.
Some of the buildings: Sky, 555Ten, Atelier, The Eugene, Silver Towers, EOS, Waterline Square, etc.

Person 1: Yeah I live over in Hudson Yards at Sky. Sadly it's just an alcove studio on the 26th floor :(
Person 2: That's cool and all, but those places have no history and feel like a hotel room all the time. When you start making $$$ as an MD or President at Bank of America get a renovated brownstone. The best of both worlds: Old charm with new amenities.

A yard yeti is a child usually between the ages of 12 and 17 years that awoke from adolescent hibernation early and hasn't quite reached full human development. They aren't self controlled enough to be turned loose on the general public but they already know everything, just ask them. They're unpredictable in regard to behavior and most frequently show signs of deafness even when yelled at. They generally use only grunts and snipes but can be clearly understood with calls such as "I'm bored" and "I'm hungry". The male of this species is known to eat everything in sight! And the female attracts others of their species that are just as obnoxious. Topping a 10' high electric fence with razor wire sometimes helps keep the males at bay, but they are sneaky little devils.

An simple or elaborate display in ones front yard, usually on Halloween. Most involve zombies coming out of the ground (groundbreakers), some sort of witch and jack o lanterns. Some choose to use store bought props or make their own.
1"The old guy down the street set up a big yard haunt"
2"Really? The weird one with the crazy voice?"
1"Yeah, theres some pretty intense zombies down there"
