Person A: "Hey, how are y'all doin'?"
Person B: "Y'all? You are a YeeYee."
Person A: "A Yeeye?"
Person C: "Yeah, you have an country accent making you a yeeye. Also, I'm doing good!"

Yeeyah

An exclamation to invoke a sudden urge of attention and immediate warning. Used by elders and parents of the diné tribe to intervene upon an urgent alert where verbal warning is needed. Also "yeeyah" would be introduced to a situation where one may be correcting or guiding a child away from an immediate danger such as a poisonous plant,animal,etc. However the severity of the word fades as one assumes the age of adulthood where things of "yeeyah" in nature takes on newer forms.

Elderman: hey! Stay away from that wood pile there may be snakes yeeyah!

Elderwomen: yeeyah! He's gonna get you!

Parent male: yeeyah! Don't touch that! *reference stovepipe*

Parent female: yeeyah! Stay inside its dark!
