Marching Band

The one hard, time consuming, learning experience that you wait all year for. Spending time with the boys, laughing at the trumpets, being molested by the low brass, never hearing the Clarinets. And making up stupid inside jokes and Callbacks. Hearing the phrase "Alright, one more time and we can have a water break! " from your director. But you never care. You enjoy it.

Lightning Regiment Marching Band

The greatest high school marching band in, at minimum, the state of Virginia, if not the Milky Way galaxy. For twenty years they hath stood as a pillar of great marching and music. They never won VBODA though, becuase the evil Grafton Empire's numbers are formidable. Never, ever speak the word "Fanta" among several of its members; you may ignite a bloody civil war.

Now entering the field, the Lightning Regiment Marching Band. Here are their section leaders, all of whose names I will make a valiant effort to mispronounce.

Marching Band

1. Life
2. Perverts (not geeks)
3. Drumline is hot.
4. a SPORT that takes up all your time.
5. A second home.
6. We basically have our own language that people outside of band don't understand...
7. hard workers (even woodwinds)
8. Best memories... ever.
9. Family
10. A group of people that get together and work harder than the football team.

Person 1: Wanna hang out Saturday?
Bandy: Can't; Competition.
P1: What about next saturday?
B: Can't, I have a 12-hour practice.
P1: Any Fridays?
B: nope, Football games.
P1: Dang you have no life..
B: Marching Band IS life..

Marching Band

1) A SPORT that takes up every spare moment of your time.
2) an amazing experience to fill your high school years
3) one big FAMILY (wait i guess that means there is a bunch of incest LOL)

It seems like all marching bands have awesome peeps who think about sex a bit too much! lol
I don't have a life, I'm in marching band.

marching band

I.) the only club in the entire high school which requires work before the school year even starts.
i.e. BAND CAMP
1. wake up at 6:45 every morning to arrive at school BEFORE 8am (to be on time is to be late, and to be early is to be on time)
2. work your butt off until 12 outside learning sets and reviewing marching
3. work on your music inside, or go outside to run your sets with the music, until 3:30 (or 5:00 if you have sections)
4. go home until 6:00 and head off to a band party until 10:30
5. try to stay awake long enough to take a shower
6. set your alarm for the next morning
7. go up to no. 1

II.) then, it requires practice after school...
monday, wednesday, thursday - 2:30 - 4:45 (so u can catch the 5:00 bus)
tuesday - marching clinic
friday - GAME DAY calltime is 5 so you mine as well stay anyway...
saturday- competition !!
sunday - holiday parades or tv gigs anyone?

III.) Where you meet your second family, and your best friends and where you gain all of your inside jokes that go on your buddy profile.

Flutes kick brass in the marching band.
