An estimation. Stands for "scientific wild ass guess." Primarily used among the military, especially snipers when they are taking a shot and need to calculate proper bullet trajectory.

Scientific Wild Ass Guess. Basically an educated guess that sounds logical but probably has absolutely no data to back it up. Variant of WAG, wild ass guess.
I read that you're supposed to get a minimum of 100 grams of protein a day, but I don't know if someone actually bothered to study that or if it's just a bodybuilder's SWAG.
