Pretty much the most overrated school in the country, except for its location and campus (which are both pretty nice)

Get the boston collegemug. A college that puts all of its emphasis on its Division 1 sports teams, when in fact those teams never actually win their respective championships. Due to all of the money put towards its lavish Division 1 sports program, Boston College not only takes applicants who have so much money that the $45,000+ tuition is paid just with a family bank account's interest, but usually gives those applicants generous scholarships, all because there is more of a chance hefty "donations" will be made to the school in the future.
Michael Smith: I have better credentials than you in everything: GPA, sports, clubs, and SAT scores...I didn't get into Boston College, yet you not only got accepted but received a sholarship as well?

Get the boston collegemug. School full of rich white kids who drink excessively on the weekends but put in work during the week. Most of them will either become doctors (or so they think), teachers, or accountants. Spend way too much time at the gym. Everyone acts like they're failing every class but a "failing" grade to them is actually a B. Not actually in Boston but fucking gorgeous campus. Amazing hockey team, shitty football and basketball teams. No engineering school which is weird, but all in all a top tier school with an annoyingly Catholic vibe.
Every top ten kid in my rich suburban Northeast high school who didn't get into an Ivy went to either University of Virginia or Boston College.

Get the Boston Collegemug. Not a college, but a university and not located in Boston, but just outside. A prestigious Jesuit institution that has one of the most beautiful college campuses. It is very competitive, and is referred to as BC for short.
Student 1: I'm so excited I got into BC!
Student 2: Whatever...I'm going to Boston University.

Get the Boston Collegemug. Boston College is a school that is small enough so that walking around you always run into people you know, but large enough so that there are always new people to meet. BC is a great school, located in a great location, and although there are a few spoiled rich kids at BC, you realize that there is also a good number of stand up people at BC. BC has a stong academic background, good athletics (minus their amazing choking ability), and an underrated party scene.
And for the record I didn't apply to Notre Dame, nor did I ever have a desire to spend 4 years in bumblecrap Southbend.

Get the Boston Collegemug. A rigorous Jesuit school just outside west Boston, which consistently admits intelligent, motivated kids. Admittedly we don't have that much economic diversity - most of the kids at BC, no matter what race they are, come from very wealthy families. Some of the international students at BC come from such powerful families that they use fake names at school. The school is famously preppy. Brooks Brothers is practically a school uniform and Vineyard Vines did a photo shoot at the school recently.
However, the school constantly tries to attract a more diverse student body and there are more middle-class and lower-middle class kids now than there were before.
