The expression was first used in relation to playing the computer game Worms, because a single pixel on the terrain can sometimes affect whether you win or lose the round.

Similar to shit happens, it is when something usually happens that is against one's will, they tend to blame the man. Could be anything from not winning the lottery, getting fired from work, or your girl/boyfriend breaking up with you since the man seems to always be the one causing everything.

Matt: Aww it's going to rain on the day I'm supposed to go to the water park. This sucks! Why did you only plan it for one day?

Blaming the beasts

A term used amongst players of the Guilty Gear game franchise to describe the actions of a person who, in their eyes, is choosing to complain about the game and its features rather than improving.

Originates in reference to the round into speech, with the full line being "Mankind knew they could not change society, so instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the beasts"

As such, it's also a way of telling a person to go reflect on their style of playing and reconsider themselves.

"How is Nagoriyuki high tier? He actively kills himself when using his tools?"
