Coded word for a girl to her ex which translated means: "I've been cheating on you with a fat ugly stoner that works at Fry's because I'm jealous that you bought some girl a present and she's prettier than me and she's a gosh dawn cawlidge gurl and I ain't."

Or at least what I think it means, now.

Angie told me she was "Taking a break from guys" but her Myspace comments with that "Creepy guy" that wanted to be a girl for Halloween have shown me the truth.

She or he is not really taking a break off social media. They are no longer interested in you. You have become a secondary option, a Plan B, the gay best friend. You chump.

Boy: "I haven't seen or heard from you in a week, how you been?"
Girl: "Yeah, I been taking a break from social media. Thanks for helping me return my AC unit. I'll buy you coffee!"

We're taking a break

A girl (usually a girlfriend) will say this to you when she is angry at you and wants to find a new boyfriend. This is always a bad choice on the girls part because girls will be all over you now and she will become jealous, eventually taking you back.
