#YOPO

YOPO, or more commonly used with the hashtag #YOPO, is short for ‘You Only Patent Once’. This refers to the huge advantages that especially small and middle-sized companies will achieve if Denmark chooses to join the Unified Patent Court out for referendum on May the 25th 2014. The Unitary Patent will reduce the numbers of patents required for the European market to just a single one - You Only Patent Once. This will make is a lot easier and cheaper to patent products and it will be a great help to smaller companies with limited resources.

Entrepreneur 1 - I’ve got this awesome idea for a product, just can’t afford to get all the patents.

Entrepreneur 2 - Dude, sure you can! With the Unitary Patent you only patent once - #YOPO.
