A common phrase used when someone says something they randomly thought of without thinking and it doesn't sound quite as good out loud.
Fallout 76 DJ: "You're listening to Appalachia Radio. It's like a Super Stimpak...for the soul. *Cough* Ooh, that sounded better in my head..."

“Mysteries make my head hurt” is a phrase uttered by retired Detective Joe Kenda of the Colorado Springs PD on his show on ID.
All the suspects have come up with alibis. Mysteries make my head hurt. We have to start from scratch. Back to the scene of the crime to question additional witnesses.

I think it's meaning is "the first thing or things that come to your head when it comes to name someone or something inside a context"
- Can you name three emperors of Rome?
- Augustus, Nero, Marcus Aurelius...from the top of my head, now.
- Augustus, Nero, Marcus Aurelius...from the top of my head, now.

It isn't that.
Hym "It isn't in my head you want you to be able to take the rights of people who are a threat to your kids and you don't have a mechanism for that so instead you are doing this. I am turning this into a mechanism for me to get out. That is happening. You're not stopping. I'm not changing my mind. I'm not giving up a single right. My first purchase when I get my money will be a gun. I'm not talking to a shrink. It doesn't FEEL like anything. You just don't want to have to acknowledge the extent to which what is happening is actually. I'm not changing anything."
