The two bombings killed at least 129,000 people, most of whom were civilians. They remain the only use of nuclear weapons in the history of warfare.

A terrible large-scale nuclear bombing caused by the shooting of a uranium bomb into the heart of the actual console that started a nuclear chain reaction and exploded, leaving the city of Hiroshima totally destroyed. People vaporized, and whole structures were reduced to rubble.
