scupplet

In some parts of OHIO, a synonym for a dingleberry. Although specifically, a dingleberry is a piece of fecal matter trapped in the hairs around one's anus, while a scupplet actually refers to a "tiny dingleberry"- hence the diminutive "-let". To be even more precise, a scupplet is the combination of small bits of toilet paper that become enmeshed with the poop.

According to Merriam Webster, a dingleberry is a "foolish or stupid person" which can be misunderstood if using dingleberry in a pejorative manner. Are you calling your friend a fool or a piece of hairy poop?

Using "scupplet" takes the guesswork out of the matter... Use "scupplet" when using "dingleberry" isn't appropriate or the offense isn't worth a full-blown "dingleberry"

I can't believe you just said that! You're such a scupplet! OR "Honey, you not only have some dingleberries down here, but some scupplets as well."

scrapple
