The practice of raising animals for the sole purpose of getting hit by vehicles.
Originating from the Bakken oilfield on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation using horses and cattle.
Having control of he court system and with an ample supply of trucks, cows and horses are fenced onto a highway where they will ultimately be hit. With the truck damaged and disabled, tribal police will issue a summons to the driver. The driver will be subsequently sued for 5-10x the value of the animal hit, with the rancher claiming damages for all 'potential offspring' the animal may have provided.
