seasonal dad

Parent whose main interaction with their child or children occurs during one season of the year, usually their child's summer vacation from school. Seasonal dads have been known to take great offense when their motives or parenting skills are called into question.

We asked our friend to get a dna test on his kid who bears no resemblence. He got pissed off and lectured us and told us we don't know what its like to have a family. It's probably because he's a seasonal dad and doesn't see his kid too often.

A very nice an supportive human being in your life. They are not your biological father they are your "Dad". They do not have to be male they can be anything they want. You are always their son no matter what even if you are female. But because all that they will treat you like their actual child and love and care for you.

He is so nice to me, he's my #1 dad.
She is basically his mom, what a #1 dad.

Ghost Dad

Referencing the Bill Cosby Movie. It refers to someone who is your friend but never answers emails or returns texts days or weeks later. They are your friend but no one ever see them. When you think they are gone they randomly appear or send you a text or email. when confronted they think they are always there.

John: Where is Phil? I don't know man he is has been Ghost dad for the last 2 months
