1-When Avril Lavigne was just out everyone loved her...than she became really big and everyone called her a sell out! i dont get it...maybe cuz they thot she'd give into the slut image or what the media was looking for...
2-Another way I've heard the term sell out said was one time I left this party really early cuz I wasnt feelin it...I didnt wanna be there and I had another place to be...the the guy hosting it came after me outside and called me a f*cken Sell out...whatever that was supposed to mean...lol I dont get it really doesnt make a whole lot of sense if u ask me...An insult of somesort maybe having to do with giving into someone elses wants...humm? *wondering*

Particularly in music when an artist changes his/hers sound so it could appeall more to the masses. The most recent sell out is Bon Jovi. Or when someone snitches on you so they wont have to get in trouble. So they sold you out.
