Basically if someone says, “That’s dog” they’re not talking about a dog but there talking about the subject being negative, to rephrase it would be “that’s shit”. If someone says, “that was a dog move” again, they could mean “that was a dirty move” or “that was a shit move” depending on the circumstance.

(Person 1): “hey have you heard that they’re not selling zooper doopers anymore?”
(Person 2): “what!? That’s so dog”
E.g 2
“Bro, that was a dog move” - can be used in terms of real life interactions or online games.
