I thought that calling the song "Time of Your Life" was just a little too level-headed for me, so I had to come up with something different."
At the beginning of the album version, Billie Joe Armstrong messes up, tries again, makes the same mistake, then says "fuck." In between the tries, you can hear the faint sound of a digital metronome.
