Sharks in the water

Originally an United States Naval phrase used by the enlisted personnel to alert other subordinate sailors that an officer is on deck. Could also be used to make others aware of the presence of an authority figure i.e cops, a principle, or even your mom.
Younger Brother: *Forgets to do the dishes*

"sharks in the water" refers to the other women in a relationship that a girl knows are there.

Shark in the Water is a term used to convey that one is menstruating, and thus is dangerous; or to say that the "waters" are "off limits" for that week.
