Imputiny

When the leader of a nation kills journalists and political opponents without facing any consequences, except for seeing his power further consolidated. Usually accompanied by a form of gaslighting where most people somehow manage to pretend that the leader in question isn't in fact a psychopathic dictator responsible for countless murders.
It is estimated that roughly half of Russia's journalists have been killed with imputiny.

International leaders who have learned nothing from the past failures of appeasement are thought to be the main cause of imputiny.
