A word invented by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, to descibe themselves.

Bands of the Genre are: MMB, Choking Victim(Not Leftover Crack), Catch 22, Big D(some).

Skacore is not to be confused with ska/punk or punk/ska.

The bosstones are Skacore.

Skacore 

A mixture of Ska and "Hardcore". It favors the speed and agressiveness of hardcore with horns and plucky guitar work. A brave and unintelligent venture, we can only hope it doesn't catch on.

Skacore

The 4rth wave of ska that is often overlooked, mainly taking place in Southern California as well as Mexico, the genre consists of a fusion of ska, metal, punk, hardcore, and anything you can throw in between, including Latin rhythm influences. Bands include 8Kalacas, River Ratts, Cerebro Negro, Sektacore and more.

The flavor that Skacore bands put into ska is astonishing.

One time I saw the 8 Kalacas live, and I was mind blown as I thought, "Skacore is the evolution of Mariachi Music".

Skacore bands have the best energy.
