A combination of ska, punk, and death metal. The phrase was coined by the band Choking Victim and is a reference to their strong liking for smoking crack cocaine.

The phrase is a pun on the genre rocksteady which is one of the main types of music that originally influenced Choking Victim.

Other crack rocksteady bands include: Leftover Crack, INDK, Morning Glory, Crack Rocksteady 7, No-Cash, etc.

A type of music that combines elements of punk, hardcore, rocksteady, and ska. Very fast and usually singers scream for a more hardcore sound. Punk parts can change to ska and back quickly.

Common lyric subject matter includes Atheism, hate of the police, the Vagrant Lifestyle and smoking crack.
