Same as Dr. Who

The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey, who travels in a time machine called the TARDIS.

Sometimes he is accompanied by companions who have chosen to travel with him for a variety of reasons.

Although he physically resembles a human, as a Time Lord his physiology is different. Once a Time Lord suffers a mortal injury, illness, or old age, he uses the ability to regenerate.

"What did you say your name was?"

"I told you; The Doctor."

"Yeah, but, Doctor who?"

"Just The Doctor."

The Show. Doctor who is a popular science fiction series, which has run for 43 years as of this date. Started in 1963, it ran to 1989 when it was put on hiatus. Besides a TV movie, the only new Doctor who was in books, audio and webcasts for 16 years. The series started back up in 2005, and has been running since.

The Doctor. The Doctor is a Timelord from Gallifrey, which in the recent series has been revealed to be destroyed. He usually saves the Earth/The Universe/Civilisation as we know it on a day-to-day basis. Generally talks alot, though it varies from regeneration to regeneration. Often, no, almost always has a compainion (A friend - not that way either.) travelling with him. Want to know more? Wiki has a large article on it which can explain it better than i can. Just look up 'Doctor who'

Doctor Who 

A traveller who's the last of a noble race known as Time Lords. Sometimes he has companions, but they never stay along forever. They age and eventually die, and he has to move on.

He's the most fantastically good man throughout all of time and space, and yet he gets so little.

At the end of the day, he's just an oft lonely man who travels around the universe in a little blue box. And that's what makes him so brilliant.

Basically only the most amazing TV show in all of existence. Stars brilliant people such as Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Alex Kingston, etc.
So what the heck even is this show about?
You've probably heard that it's a show for nerds. THIS IS A LIE. Mostly. BUT WHO CARES? Nerdiness is great. Own those duct taped glasses! Rock those Lord of the Ring posters! Flash those Harry Potter books for the world to see!
Ahem. Anyways.
This show follows the adventures of the marvelous Doctor as he traverses all of time and space defending the Earth from aliens - although he himself is one - and other disasters - a surprising number of which occur in Cardiff.
People may tell you to skip nine. DO NOT LISTEN. SKIPPING NINE IS A LARGE MISTAKE, ONE THAT WILL RESULT IN TEARS, BLOOD, PAIN, AND PROBABLE DEATH.
All in all, watch this show. If you don't, you'll be the one missing out!

Person 2: What's going on? Where's Matt Smith? He's cute. Where's the action? This is boring.
