"Ta Ta" is an informal "Good bye" caught on with British people.

TTFN is a "pointless" initialism (no easier to say than the phrase on which it was based) meaning "Ta ta for now!"

This phase is used as an informal parting phrase, as a possible substitute for "See you later!" or "Goodbye for now!"
