The process of religiously wacking off into a single piece of cloth or small towel over the span of weeks or months until it can stand up on it's own like the american flag placed on the moon by the astronauts. Typically made by members of the armed forces, monogamous business men, and teenagers at summer camp.

Dude, this is going to be a long deployment, I think I'll make a moon flag as an experiment and then see if I can break in it half before we go home.

A colloqualism that has the same effect as the phrase 'what the fuck' (abbr. wtf?!) i.e. denoting incredulity.
This phrase first appeared in the 1961 D film 'The Beast of Yucca Flats',due to the director actually misplacing the soundtrack of the movie, and it has since been a mystery why or what it had to do with the movie plot.
