Love is an offering. To love is not to posses the other person or to consume all their attention and love. To love is to offer the other person joy and a balm for their suffering. Love isn't always perfect, it isn't a fairy-tale or storybook. And it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding onto a person and never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, and impossible to live without.
