hubragoom (pronounced: HUB-ruh-goom)
noun. A person who combines arrogance, hubris, and doomerism into one smug package — someone who loudly predicts catastrophe, takes personal credit for the prediction, and never apologates when it fails to arrive.

Al Gore, in true hubragoom fashion, stood on a stage in An Inconvenient Truth and swore the polar ice caps would vanish by 2014 — they’re still there, and so is his Nobel.
