(verb) a phrase used mostly in online queer communities, specifically Twitter, to refer to hanging out with someone that one deems iconic, fashionable, or otherwise interesting. It is usually employed in response to an image posted of a celebrity or cultural icon. One would normally use this phrase in the future tense - to express their desire to hang out with that celebrity in the future, rather than expressing it in the present tense.
*Tweet of an image depicting Margot Robbie on the press tour for Barbie (2023)*

Twitter User 1 (in reply): ugh, NEED to queen out with her …

Twitter User 2: purr! I’m QUEENING OUT with Bella Hadid right now!

Twitter User 1: you mean you’re just “hanging out” ..? it made me feel weird that you said that phrase in the present tense ..

A fictional body of water where many female actors, singers, performers, or other artists are jokingly presumed to have created or prepared their best work, which is then celebrated and discussed by their respective fan communities on social media. The phrase derived from Twitter users, particularly within online queer communities, speculating that their favorite female artists came up with their work through divine or spiritual intervention at this particular body of water. The visual description of the “Mother Lake” is open to interpretation - some view it as simply an enigmatic wooden dock on a mist-shrouded pond - others envision it as a sapphic 80’s Summer Camp on a lake populated by canoes and a serene sunset. It is thought that the “Mother Lake” contains healing or regenerative properties, which female artists harness as a source of energy to create what their fans consider flawless or excellent work.
Friend: “Have you listened to Fiona Apple’s album ‘Fetch the Bolt Cutters’?”

Me: Of course, she took a dip at the Mother Lake before writing that album.

(noun) Derivative of the adjective “zesty”, “Zesty Geek” is a term used primarily on TikTok as a way to describe someone (particularly a male) that is extremely flamboyant, feminine, or whose speech or behavior patterns are stereotypical amongst gay men/people. The term is primarily used in a derogatory sense, similar to “sus”, although many young people might be ignorant to this, as they might associate the phrase “zesty geek” with someone who is simply behaving erratically or in a silly/playful manner.
Student 1: Mr. Matton always speaks while moving and waving his hands. It’s so distracting and flamboyant.

Student 2: I know, right? He’s a zesty geek!
