A prison term for a Sexual Offender; i.e. child molester, sexual predator, etc. term comes from the initials S.O. which stand for Sexual Offender. An "S" as written looks like a "5" and a "O" looks like a "0" (zero) thus the term fifty, fitty, fitty cent, fifty cent.

"YO, that new guy is a chomo, man, a 50 cent, let's f*ck him up..."
