cladmin
Portmanteau of 'cladding' and 'administration'. Activities by apartment owners in the UK in response to the fire safety crisis caused by flammable cladding, timber balconies, lack of fire breaks and many other safety defects, and in the face of bills often exceeding £100,000 per apartment. Frequently compared to a second job due to the emotional toll and long hours involved. Examples of cladmin: organising and attending residents' meetings, writing to politicians, becoming experts in building regulations and fire safety, chasing building owners, reviewing cladding bills, talking to the press, running campaigns and posting on social media.
