Larpstalgia

Nostalgia for a flanderized version of a recent cultural period which one was not born yet for or was too young to accurately remember. A portmanteau of LARP and nostalgia.

The recent trend of people online misremembering the 2000s as an era of exclusively Frutiger Aero designs, super-advanced personal electronics, and overall "simpler" times is a prime example of larpstalgia.
