8 to 5 step size

The most common/basic step sized used in high school marching bands. It basically means 8 steps within every 5 yards.

Band Director: "Okay guys, this next set will be marched at an 8 to 5 step size.

Refers to Atlanta 96.1 Power Station. So when someone says: "They just pulled a 96.1" it means they play the same songs over and over and over.

"Oh my gosh! They played this song 6 freaking times in the past 2 hours!"

"96.1 copying ass..."
