What to call your male partner when you've been together for a while and boyfriend just seems lame, but you're not ready to committ to engagement (financee) yet. Literally: More than a boyfriend, less than a financee.

Q: "Who's that dishy hunk you came in with?"
A: "Oh, have'nt you met my boyance Jason?"
