agoraphobia

Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder that can make it difficult to leave your house or be in certain public places. People with agoraphobia may fear situations such as crowded places, public transport, open spaces, or being outside alone. Around 1–2% of teens experience agoraphobia. Some people are able to leave the house more comfortably when accompanied by someone they trust and feel safe with. Agoraphobia can also occur alongside other mental health conditions, including depression.
