Acronym for "Thank You For Your Service". Usually used ironically when a military servicemember is being self-righteous and overestimates how much other people care for his life choices. Also used when a spouse overestimates their importance due being in a relationship with a servicemember, especially on social media.

"I joined the military to serve my country so that you don't have to" or "Military wife is the toughest job in the military"
