Grandma Language

The employment of intelligent, high sounding vocabulary at times when it is unnecessary, ie., Facebook. Named grandma language in that the vernacular lacks common day slang and usually employs more educated words.
Dang! Why does Courtney always use grandma language? Can't she just talk like everyone else? Geez!
