The act of eating lots of carrots. Carrots contain carotene and when consumed in large quantities will induce carotonemia (yellow/orange pigment of the skin) to make one appear more tan. This term was created from the looksmaxxing trend on social media, where you add “maxx” as a suffix to words.
Chico: “The winter is making me lose pigment. I need to start carrotmaxxing to get more tan.”
Chad: “That would be smart. If you get any more pale it would be time for you to ropemaxx”
