Knobgoblin

A person who compulsively fiddles with sliders, knobs, dials, and adjustment settings until the result "feels right", without necessarily knowing what any of them do.

Etymology: A portmanteau of knob and hobgoblin, inspired by the mischievous nature of people who cannot leave adjustment settings alone.
