Slopclocking

(noun) The skill of recognizing low-effort, mass-produced AI-generated content (“AI slop”), especially when it is presented as authentic writing, art, or information.
(verb) to slopclock — to identify or call out such content by noticing common indicators such as generic phrasing, structural repetition, shallow analysis, or stylistic artifacts typical of automated generation.
Etymology:
From slop (internet slang for low-quality AI-generated content) + clocking (slang for noticing or correctly identifying something).
“After a few months online you get good at slopclocking.”
“That article looked polished, but the weird repetition gave it away—classic slopclocking moment.”
