Shottyism 

a condition where a person is struggling with the banter and criticism of friends, resulting in thinking everything is negatively directed at them turning normal comedic dialog into hurt feelings. This conditioned is fueled further by JDE (AKA Jameson Driven Emotions). The two conditions combined often act as a social deterrent.
