im here to give a comprehensive list on why sydney is better (imo) than melbourne (tho ill admit melb has some positives). ive never been afraid to admit sydney has some absolute shitholes that melbourne easily beats us on, meanwhile no melburnian EVER admits anything bad about their city and gets insanely defensive if u bring up any issues. us sydneysiders at least ADMIT it and take the p!55 out of sydney, esp the housing prices. and yeah ill admit melbourne slightly takes the cake there (tho lets be real, melb aint that much better either). lotta melburnians on urban dictionary flex that they hosted the olympics half a century before sydney. true, but we had THE GREATEST OLYMPICS EVER (thats a fact). melbourne 56 had so many problems the olympic president literally THREATENED to take the games away (bet no one knows that). yeah melb has the MCG, ill give em that, but we got the SCG. the members pavilion?? where’s that in melb huh? also i HATE rugby, worst sport ever, id rather watch afl (no joke), im a cricket person. melb calls itself the sporting capital but forgets cricket is huge in sydney AND everywhere else. AFL is the only thing they ride. boxing day test is legendary sure, but we have the pink test at the SCG for the mcgrath foundation. also we’re the ultimate tourist city. when overseas ppl think australia they INSTANTLY think SYD. world legit thinks sydney is the capital now so jokes on ya. AND LASTLY best schools: NSW has 42 selective schools, melb only has 4.

Sydney hosted the Olympic Games in 2000, largely believed to be one of the greatest if not the greatest olympic games ever held, Melbourne may have hosted it half a century earlier, but we got the greatest games ever so ha! also who was even alive to clearly remember the melbourne games tbh?
