Another word for dude, spawned by a group of students studying over the summer at a program with College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, ME. Two of the group's sixteen members were named Wade, a strange coincidence due to the name's uncommon nature.

Before long, everyone became wade. That's just how it is.

Drop the Nalgene from the top of the lighthouse, wade.
