To provoke conversation between two strangers. In a traditional neev scenario, after the host makes the introduction he/she will then walk away (leaving the two to "chat it up"). The term is of Irish origin.
1) Alexis: "Have you two met? Shawnee here works with horses. Jon, loves gambling on horses! I got to run, but you two should chat. "
Shawnee: "Wow, great job neeving us together."

2) Michael: "The dinner party was lame. It was a group of 5 strangers, and the host didn't even have the courtesy to neev us."
