When a new technology, social network, acronym etc has become popular enough that mainstream or elderly audiences should be aware of them. Can also be used more generally as a replacement for "That's So Obvious".

Guy 1: "Check out this new site called Twitter!"
Guy 2: "That is so yesterday. EJK man... EJK..."
