ANR, or Adult Nursing Relationship, is a sexual/romantic relationship in which one partner breastfeeds or "nurses" the other.
ANRs do not always occur when a partner is lactating; in fact, most instances of an ANR take place outside of regular lactation periods.
ANRs date back to ancient Egyptian and Greek times, and were then seen as a form of devoted emotional and spiritual connection.
Today, ANRs are seen as intimate bonding experiences between sexual and/or romantic partners. ANR should always be practiced with consent and safety at all times, and partners should be aware and respectful of each other's boundaries.
