When two people go out on what seems like a date, but one or both of them aren't really interested in the other person as a potential boyfriend or girlfriend.

guy: Hey, you want to get some dinner?

girl: Sure! Umm, is this a date?

guy: It may look like one, but no, I'm not interested in you at all.

girl: Oh good, we can undate each other until we find real dates.
